AMD Affirms Netbook CPU Along Its Way
An AMD spokesperson corroborates they will come out with a netbook-specific CPU in the comings months. AMD’s position with the netbook
market has been steady — that this is just a “craze”. AMD peps too understated the future of netbooks and forecasts the MIDs and mobile devices will assume the fad in the coming years.
Thus, it was a surprise to everyone to find out that AMD is building up the chipset for netbooks. Still, we should be cheerful that the
playing area will no longer be reigned by VIA and Intel. More choices is always best.
The Everun is likely the only netbook that runs on an AMD Turion 64 dual-core processor. They were able to simmer down by under-clocking
the CPU to just 1.2GHz. To keep on battery lifespan, the CPU clocks down to just 800MHz when not plugged in to a power vent.
