Global Growth In Netbook Sales
PC and x86 servers’ sales globally have grown by 15% in the past year. The strong interest in the netbook segment made the bulk growth. Acer and Asus was hailed as winners, in particular the latter’s EeePC which launched the market for such devices. With sales climbing nearly 50% to give it 12.5% of the market, Acer demonstrated the solidest growth.
Yet, there’s an admonition of sturdier times ahead and a worldwide sales downfall ascribable to the overall financial situation.
